Maintain
The maintenance of a qualification begins as soon as it is coded on our APS and centres begin to deliver it.
Through delivering the qualification, you may come across things that could be improved upon. For example:
- amending a unit specification to clarify, simplify or correct something.
- identification of a unit that is more appropriate to meeting a local need
Maintenance is about ensuring a qualification remains current and relevant for the sector it serves. We rely on you to tell us if it does and if it doesn’t — tell us via the comment or DAVAL2 form (62 KB).
If a change is made to a qualification, we will tell you via the change spreadsheets on our website.
