The National Occupational Standards Board is responsible for determining policy on strategic issues relating to the Standards Programme. Minutes from the National Occupational Standards Board will be placed here in due course.
The National Occupational Standards Board has devolved authority to the UK Coordinating Group for the day-to-day management of the National Occupational Standards programme. The UK Coordinating Group draws it membership from QCA, SQA, DCELLS, CCEA and UKCES. In addition to considering the standards plans for funding, the UK Coordinating Group will continue to approve national occupational standards, qualifications structures and assessment strategies. SQA and QCA officers will approve the outcomes of all other projects.
SQA and QCA officers will continue to work with sector bodies, offering assistance to sector bodies as they develop their standards plan, work with the sector bodies during the lifetime of the projects and act as a link between the sector bodies and the UK Coordinating Group.
Minutes from the UK Coordinating Group will be placed here in due course.
