focuses on competences required to use everyday technologies for a range of purposes
It develops practical, technical, and transferable skills in using digital devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones to access information and communication services and builds confidence to help learners fully participate in the networked society.
Assessment will be a combination of practical and knowledge assessments under closed- and open-book conditions. There are more details in the assessment and evidence requirements for each unit.

The NPA in Digital Skills is designed for a wide range of learners, including:
learners who are at school or who have just left school
learners who have been out of education for a long period of time and wish to update their digital skillsets
individuals who are currently in employment and wish to obtain a formal qualification

Entry is at the discretion of the school, college or training provider. This is an introductory level qualification and learners need not possess any prior SQA qualifications.
