FOI25/26 193 Corres re Williamwood High School Becoming a SQA Presentation Centre

I am requesting information held by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) relating to any dialogue, discussions, or correspondence between the SQA and East Renfrewshire Council and/or Williamwood High School regarding the Communication Support Service (CSS) at Williamwood High School becoming an SQA presentation centre.

Please cover the period 1 August 2022 to the present. Please provide:

1. Communications and correspondence Emails, letters, meeting notes, or records of telephone calls. Between the SQA and East Renfrewshire Council and/or Williamwood High School Concerning the CSS becoming, applying to become, or being considered as an SQA presentation centre.

2. Internal SQA discussions Any internal SQA emails, notes, briefings, or documents Discussing, evaluating, or referring to the CSS becoming a presentation centre.

3. Status or outcome Any documentation or updates relating to the current status, outcome, or progress of any application, request, discussion, or consideration involving the CSS becoming an SQA presentation centre.

Format Electronic copies are preferred. Public interest rationale This request seeks transparency regarding discussions between the SQA and a local authority about Additional Support Needs provision and the processes informing decisions on presentation arrangements for pupils.

The information for numbers one and two are available in the three documents attached.

When an authority does not hold information, under section 17 of the Act, they must inform the requester.

With regard to request number three, these are early discussions and as no application has been received at the time of the request, there is no information held.

The names of SQA staff below Head of Service level and non-SQA people have been redacted under section 38 (1)(b) as it is considered personal information.
